The first Bishop of Nongstoin, Bishop-elect Victor Lyngdoh was born in 1956 and ordained priest in 1987 for Shillong. He did his Philosophy at Christ King Collage and Theology at Secred Heart Theological College in Shillong. He has a Masters degree in Education. Bishop-elect Victor Lyndoh was, before his appointment as Bishop, Assistant Parish Priest, Parish Priest, Procurator of the Archdiocese and was the Parish Priest of the Cathedral of Shillong at the time of his appointment as Bishop of Nongstoin.
